Extras

In April of 2005, Gardens West began referring readers to our new website to find additional content that simply would not fit in the printed magazine. Initially, this additional content was posted in the Gardening Forum, but several readers found it hard to find. In order to solve this problem we have created this 'Extras' section to provide quick and easy access to all of our additional content. We look forward to watching this new section grow and become a valuable resource for our readers to explore.

In our April and May 2005 editions Trish Hoff wrote two articles on Plant Propagation. We did not have room to include Sara Williams’ list of suggested drought tolerant bulbs, grasses, perennials, trees, shrubs & ground covers.   In our July/August 2005 issue is an article entitled “Need a Little Privacy?” by Carol Hall. We had room to print Harald's "Lazy Man's Potato Method" but not enough room for "Growing Hybrid Tea Roses in Cold Climates."   In our July/August 2007 issue is Shannon McKinnon's first "Crazy for Herbs" article.
